For every kick, theres a lot dealing with my head which it becomes challenging to just relax and execute the move. A listing of the points I do believe about when kicking:
Muay Thai Phuket
.Have the correct range and land with all the shin
.Pivot those hips
.Turn so my belly button is perpendicular to my opponent
.Climb onto the toes of my lead leg
.And rotate on those toes
.Have the leg back to position
.Now have the leg returning to positions faster
.Watch my balance
.Chop with my arm
.Such as the chop so much i leave myself exposed for that counter
Muay Thai Gym
Its a lot. Therefore, with all of this in my head, a kick is not only a kick. Its a complex, and at sometimes inscrutable pair of directions, all of these has to be executed in a second, after which done again, and again, and again. Which can, at times, be both frustrating and disheartening. Whenever you work with those who have moved through this and who is able to make all of these the unexpected happens in what seems like no effort, its easy to get recorded on your technique. But when I actually do, I attempt my better to remember 2 things. First, that "effortlessness" on the part is only because they place in this same effort Im investing in now and came out lack of. Second, in the end, a kick continues to be just a kick. And itll be personally yet again, as long as I keep at it.
